Hua Xi is a poet and artist. Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, The Nation, The New Republic and elsewhere. She is currently a Stegner Fellow in poetry at Stanford. She previously won the Boston Review Poetry Contest, the Eavan Boland Emerging Poet Award from Poetry Ireland, the 2022 Poet-to-Come Award by the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association, an NEA Fellowship and other awards.
She helps read poetry submissions for The Drift. She also teaches community workshops with the Spatial Poetry Project.
