Hua Xi is a writer and poet. She was most recently a Stegner Fellow at Stanford.
Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The Nation, The New Republic and elsewhere. She previously won the Oxford Poetry Contest, the Boston Review Poetry Contest, the Eavan Boland Emerging Poet Award from Poetry Ireland, the Poet-to-Come Award by the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association, an NEA Fellowship and other awards.
Her forthcoming book of poems is titled “The Room of the World”. She is now working on a short story collection.
